So I've just started playing on this server recently, and I've discovered a nice lazy and easy repeatable quest for making some early gil to help me out. The quest allows me to trade easy to obtain items with an npc in order to get a rapid amount of early gil for helping me character out in the beginning. The only drawback of the quest is that it is only repeatable after changing zones, meaning everytime I complete the quest I need to zone. I have found the fastest way to do this is simply log out next to the NPC and log back in, it's 30 seconds between each repeat. It is inconvenient, but consistent and I rather enjoy doing it since I don't have to navigate walking around. However my concern is the act of logging out and back in, I realize that I will be logging out of my character and logging back in, and my concern is if this is causing any problems on the server side. I understand that this is a privately hosted server and might have bug's or problems. I don't believe I am breaking any rules with my method of repeating the quest, but I felt it would be appropriate if I asked pre-emptively to find out if what I am doing is harmful in anyway before I continue. On an official SQUARE ENIX hosted server this wouldn't be a problem, and on retail it wouldn't even be worth doing as the gil reward is worthless compared to the alternatives, but for this server with gil being harder to obtain. I've found my method is inconvenient and might be inefficient, but it's methodical procedure I find enjoyable enough to utilize it. And if there is a harm to what I am doing, I will stop immediately and just repeat the quests by changing zones normally instead of logging out and back in, even though it would take more time. |

I suspect one person logging in and out isn't going to break the server. I'd be more concerned if your actions rise to the level of exploiting. You should talk to Nas privately in that case. Have a nice day. |

I did, I chatted with him on the naschat, I even mentioned the quest I was doing, it's not exploiting it's just a repeatable quest, Nasomi said there was nothing wrong with it. Besides it's something you could have technically done on vanilla without any problems at all. Thanks for the reply. |
