The conventional wisdom for years has been that Cure Clogs do not reduce cure casting time. After some rigorous testing, it appears to me that they do work. The effects are just hard to perceive due to the low casting times and refresh rate of the data the client is receiving. Posting here to clear up the rumor. |

I decided to double check after we talked about this. Curaga II took 144 frames from the cast bar appearing to my MP being used, two times in a row with the Cure Clogs equipped. Then without the clogs, it took 154 and 155 frames. So they work, but it can be difficult to measure because we all know that things like MP being removed etc actually happen within a range of time rather than exactly at a specific time etc, that whole 400 ms ping rounding stuff. |

Central and I, tested these with both sub whm(me) and blm(him), and then with both of us sub rdm. From what I could tell, they only were noticeable under sub rdm. Very Strange. I didn't actually notice any difference when we were not sub rdm. |

I didn't actually notice any difference when we were not sub rdm. Because of the 400 ms potential response time from the server, you will not notice the effects in many cases with just the boots. This does not mean they do not work, however. Fast cast from rdm will reduce the window of seemingly no effect. This can make it difficult to measure. |
