Migrating from one install to another, or one PC to another, can be made much easier by simply moving the macros, config, and controller setups.
Migrating your macros
1. Navigate to the USER folder of your OLD install, the one you are migrating FROM. It can be found in a directory like this: "Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER" in your OLD install location.
2. The folders in the USER folder are account specific. To move ALL your macros and internal game config settings, copy ALL the folders in the USER folder, and move them to your NEW install, the one you are migrating TO. It can be found in a directory like this: "Program Files (x86)\NasomiXI\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER" on your C drive, program files.
Migrating your FFXI config utility settings and controller config
1. Navigate to the ToolsUS folder of your OLD install, the one you are migrating FROM. It can be found in a directory like this: "Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\ToolsUS"
2. Copy the files in this folder to the ToolsUS folder of your NEW install, the one you are migrating TO. It can be found in a directory like this: "Program Files (x86)\NasomiXI\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\ToolsUS" on your C drive, program files.
