Hello everyone, a bunch of friends just started on this server a week ago, and as i'm still playing on the official servers, i was wondering one thing. Would i be able to play on Nasomi servers without corrupting the files of the official one? would it require another, separate installation? is that even possible? Because looking at the instruction, it seems to be messing with the files, so i don't really know and i don't want to heck it up

you can play on the same install and wont affect retail at all, you can even have retail and nasomi characters loged in at the same time! you barely have to do anything to get nasomi running if retail is updated. just download this, run it and click on one the pre made profiles to start (or edit the config for resolution changes etc) http://nasomi.com/ashita2.zip oh you need this as well https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/downloa ... x?id=48145 the 32 bit executable is is the one you need, even if you got 64 bit os. vc_redist.x86.exe one more thing you also have to copy and paste the data folder in your playonline directory into the main ffxi directory. but thats it! |

All right, so i did all that, in the order you just told me, and i get an error after i entered my IDs in ashita2 (the black screen)  I have a EU playonline so to "trick" ashita into it i put language as french, since english makes ashita think i run a US POL. that's about the only thing you didn't mention that i did. Thank you for your time. |

damn, i also run a eu retail account but i found ashita/nasomi didnt like the steam eu version of ffxi which i was then running. i ended up downloading the us version from the official ffxi website which then worked fine for both my retail eu account and nasomi here http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/downlo ... l_win.html thats the only thing i can think of now, i recently rebuilt my pc and reinstalled ffxi from scratch, All i did was download that, log in with retail pol on my eu account and install updates, install ashita, and download the c++ 2015 exe, and copy the data folder like i said above to get nasomi working. |

All right so that must come from that, i also run the steam eu version. I can't do a full reinstallation right now, but when i'll have some time i'll do it and keep this post updated! Thank you very much for your input xandman! |
