When I choose to enter the server shortly after choosing my name; it says it is checking name and Gold World Pass. I then get an error after waiting a few minutes: Error Code FFXI-3113 Protocol Timeout Error. I check the forums a little and didn't see anything, what might I be doing wrong? Edit: I will also add that I have tried multiple different names, two of which were gibberish to see if that were the issue. |

Glad to see I'm not the only one running into this issue. Find any fix for it yet friend? |

Reboot the client inbetween each name attempt. If the first name you try is taken, it will say all names you try are taken. |

Ya, i restarted my entire PC and got in with a name of choice. once it rejects one name I suspect it rejects all names. Close game, restart PC, try different name. rinse, repeat |
