I've tried posting in Naschat but wasn't able to get any answers. The ninja job quest for me and some LS mates has bugged out. We spent the morning (evening for me) spawning the korroloka leeches, killing them, and then either getting the "nothing out of the ordinary" for some of us, and others always spawned the leeches. We zoned, disbanded, even tried being ungrouped. We tried everybody spawning, we tried to kill them for one person at a time (wiki says you should be able to kill just once for everybody but that wasnt working). Of course, we made sure that the leeches were all despawned. We just couldn't get the strangely-shaped coral. For my character, every time I touched the ??? the leeches spawned, even immediately after killing them (after corpses had despawned). From Naschat, somebody said that they had done it 2 days ago, which was the best info I got. Is there something somebody can do? Ninja is so crucial that for us it's nearly gamebreaking... wait until the next server reset or something? Thanks! |

Try going back to bastok and getting the CS. Sometimes CS glitch and you don't get credit for them and have to re-do them. |

Will try and see if that helps! There were 4 of us trying, 2 couldn't spawn at all, that sounds like it could at least solve their issues. But all 4 of us will try to trigger the cs from the quest givers anyway to see if it helps. |

Finally got the coral! Want to share my experience in case it helps anybody else. Went back to Korroloka to kill the leeches. Didn't bother with trying to get any of them despawn, which definitely does not work (among our ~20 attempts before we had tried that a few times). How we did it: 1. One at a time. We could not do it for all members at once (meaning we had to kill the 3 leeches for each member's coral) because of reason #2. 2. There is only a window of a few seconds to get the coral. You have to spam the ??? Just as the last leech dies and before the corpse has despawned. If we triggered the ??? After the last one disappeared, we got 3 new leeches and a hairy situation. Hope this helps anybody who also has this issue. |

I know this is kind of a necro bump but I am curious about this quest as well. I've had a few CS issues on other stuff so I always check each NPC a few times before running off to the next step. When I did it for the last Bastok portion before Korroloka I just got the CS over and over and over again. I relogged and still got it 2-3 more times before I stopped doing it. Would it be safe to assume that after a good 7+ times seeing the CS I am flagged to go get the coral? I cannot solo the 3 leeches yet so I wouldn't want to waste a helper's time just to not be able to get the coral. |

Friend and I did this quest without any problem about a month ago. Didn't have to look at any CS more than once, just follow the steps on ffxiclopedia.com. Make sure you target the coral before the last leech corpse disappear. Oh and yeah get some help because those leeches have around 2.5k hp each! |

I guess I will just go and try it out when I can find some help. Just makes me nervous with the CS repeating hehe. |
