In the window I type the name and when I get to the password, as soon as I type, it types double the letters...and of course I can't sign in. Someone help me please, I really want to play this game... many years ago I played with a bunch of friends...thanks for your help

If you find out what's causing this, let me know. It's some very strange bug. You can use this workaround: in ashita, right click the config you want to run. Select edit. You want the launch flags to look like "--server nasomi.com --hairpin --user xxxx --pass xxx". It might be --username and --password, but anyway, that will work.

I have the identical problem.

It started when I updated my Kaspersky Internet security 2016 with the 2017 software.

It has done in on both my laptop & PC and now I can't access my banking....

I am running windows 10.

I can't even get into My Kaspersky account for help because it jumbles my login password.....

it was conflict between Zemana Anti-KeyLogger module and my KAV 2016 so I disabled anti-KeyLogger and the problem solved. ^_^

In my desktop I see two apps: NasomiXI config and NasomiXI launcher, once I click on the launcher a window open and I get to chose what graphics, then it sends me to the user and password window. I chose 1 and enter my user name, then it goes into password and when I type I can see double the characters in astericks of course. then if fails to let me in the game... which of the two apps I suppose to edit? and can you type the whole thing? It's getting frustrating, been working on a week with this...thanks for all your help

Now the next problem is I get to enter the game, create the character, enter the name, chose the world Nasomi, next line it shows Nasomi again and I enter...it goes into a checking for name and gold pass? after that it comes out with error code: FFXI 3113 Protocol time out error.

Cause: Your character name is already taken on the server
Fix: Re-launch the game. Use a new name. You must relaunch the game if you get stuck on this error. All subsequent attempts to use the same name will get stuck at this point until you re-launch the game.

When choosing graphics, right click and select edit.

Then in the "Command" box type --username asdasdasd --password asdasdasd (with your ACTUAL username and pw of course).
