Today GMT+1 12:00 noon to 2pm I was harassed by a 75 BLM and his alt.

Players names was "Name01" and his alt "Name02". I was first asked by Name02 If I "could farm somewhere else please"- i know this is not harassment but it's part of the story.
I continued farming on my 50 drk beside other players including Name02 (54 THF)

The real harassment involved Name01 sleeping and holding crabs for around 60mins. Just not engaging them and spaming sleepga.

This disabled me from farming, and was some real petty work.. a 75 blm in a low level zone holding mobs for a hour that have a 5min respawn timer... is not acceptable?
I tried talking to him but all i got was "i was overfarming". Clearly the guy and his thf alt dooesnt like competiition or being outclaimed for gil mobbs. That's fine to have those emotions i guess.
But to abuse your level and hold mobs like this must surely be against the rules.

I don;t like making posts like this- butt i feel i have to report sometthing likee tthis... it might happen to someone else.

not fun

[Edited to remove the names. The question can be asked without the character names as posting them. Including them can be seen by the owner of Name01/Name02 as a form of harassment against them. I don't think that was your intention.]

I have only heard your side of the story, but based on what you say I agree this is not okay behavior. With the rise of population on the server we can expect more competition for well known farming places.

Holding mobs like that is something that nas considers against the rules. Competition is fine, but holding mobs so that no one can ever kill them is considered to be depriving other's of accessing gameplay features.

If you reported this in naschat at the time to him, and he saw it himself, he would've prolly done what he did to the last person who did this: delevel their main job to 1.

It looked to me like this was intended as a report, not a question - RogerAAA probably didn't realize naschat was the only way to report anything.

:-/ Sorry this happened to you. People need to understand that mobs don't belong to anyone. I've been harassed while farming Poison Leeches, which I don't understand since it's a popularly farmed mob.

Can we post their names again? I'd like to ask them why they think they get to decide who is overfarming while also being stupid enough to farm crabs at lvl 75.

I would advise against posting the names again to the forums. If people really feel the need to get involved with someone else's business (something that I will never understand) there are other ways to do it than using the forums.

Fine - If you're the people being discussed here, please explain to me next time you see me why you're wasting your time farming crabs and bullying level 50's.

Thanks.

Well as i was the one this thread is talking about, i wil add my version of the story:

I was farming crabs with my alt chara only. After a while the thread opener showed up and started to kill the crabs aswell. I asked him if he could farm somewhere else please. Nothing happened. I continued to farm the crabs. And while doing this it happened multiple times that i (still only alt chara in the zone) was engaging a crab and going the last steps across it just to have the thread opener stun claim it right away from in front of me.

While competition is one thing, behaviour such as this is respectless for me. Stealing (and yes, for me that it is) a mob someone else is clearly going after for me is against the rules as it is not a respectful and fair behaviour. In the end i decided to do what the thread opener wrote. I got my main chara along and hold some crabs for a while so that none of us could farm. While i know this was an asshole decision, for me it was the only way to have not only one looser (me), as there is no way a thf (even with ra) can compete against a fast stun spell. Would i have just left, it would been a sign aswell, that stealing mobs like this (and maybe hope people gets mad and leave) is just fine. So for me the decission of holding it was an emotional way to make a clear sign.

As i know that discussions like this dont lead to anything i wont write more to this.

Can you tell me the difference between that and holding a NM for 4 hours until you kill it?
