https://postimg.cc/image/bvzbokdlp That is a screen shot of me getting a skillup. In the Menu it shows me as level 25 but the chat log says 23 which one is correct? I am not wearing any fishing gear at all. |

When fishing, on any .x skillup you will receive also the packet that tells you your total skill. On receiving this packet, the client increments your skill in the menu by 1. This means you can receive 10 .1s and the client things you're now fishing lv 10, but really you just hit 1. You can trust the message in chat about what your fishing level is. |

I noticed this for the first time a few weeks ago. When you zone your menu will show the correct level again. |

I just ignore what's in game and check my account on the website. It updates live so you can refresh the page and it'll show you your true fishing skill. |
