I get attacked by other people's fished up mobs. I have been in a situation where if I fish up a mob and leave the zone, the mob does not depop. I can't hide from fished up mobs with sneak. This is all different from how retail fishing mechanics worked when I quit in 2005. One player who I know (Neosum) is advancing the theory that fished up mobs aggro other players via movement. What?! What's the deal? |

I believe fished up mobs have true sight/hearing to prevent botting |

Oh, there's that, too. They definitely have true detection. However, that's not my issue here. If the fished up mobs had true detection on the character who fished it up, that would not be a problem. These monsters have true detection on anyone. |

I guess that may be intentional since there is a limit to the number of mobs that can be fished up at once. |

If you fish up a mob and manage to lose aggro in the spawn area it will free roam in that area. The next person who fishes up a mob will not spawn their own, but instead will be attacked by the one that was already up, or if said character is out of range of the mob it will teleport to them and aggro them as if it was just fished up. Although I have not run into a situation where 2 people fish up mobs at the same time, not sure what would happen then. |
