Hey all, New to FFXI, but fairly well versed in mmos. I'm a bit confused about how the chat functions work. In most games I've played you press a key like "spacebar" or "enter" to pull up a chat window (you will usually see a blinking cursor), and then you type a message (and you can see the message as you type it), but that seems to not be the case with FFXI. Furthermore, it seems like when I do manage to type something, I need to hit enter about 10 times before I can see the message that I typed. The whole thing is very confusing. I tried to google this but it seems no one else has really talked about anything other than /chat commands in terms of FAQ stuff. anyone have any tips? is there any way to see what you're typing before you send the message? |
