Yep, that did it. Took 1 character off the username (left the password alone) and it let me bind it. Seems like the issue was my username was too long to bind the legacy account

Will confirm this. My account is old enough it HAD more but got truncated by one of Nas' update a few years back. Hence if anyone knows where my char name is from will see its a letter short now.

Thanks for this. Account binding successful. I've been banging my head all day wondering why boot.exe would just hang when trying to log in, even after a fresh install (it's been several months since I last played). I planned on asking in NasChat later but I randomly found a link to this thread when looking at your gaming setup in the 'Battlestations' thread.

I just bound a legacy account to my main slot only, and when login, I can access 3 characters (1 main and 2 mule chars) that I made over a year ago. Is this normal?

yes because having 1 character per game account was not programatically enforced back then. But, you should delete the extra characters. Only delete 1 per game launch.

I believe this may be the cause of my inability to fully log in (error code-3101?), as I recently came back from a little over a years' hiatus (personal home life issues) to find myself unable to log in with what I knew to be the correct login information. However, for whatever reason, I assumed my old account had been purged due to inactivity, so when I created the forum account, I didn't realize I could link my legacy account until I had already created a new profile. I read through the steps of PMing Nasomi to have the incorrect account deleted...however, I am being told that I'm too new to the forums to initiate a PM? What are now the steps for workaround?
