I wanted to install some plugins (most notably the hardware mouse override) but noticed I could not install plugins due to having an older version of Ashita that came with the FFXI Nasomi server install. Does the new Ashita work with this server? Or does this server work explicitly with that version of Ashita because of its lack of plugin support?

Ashita 3, or any launcher that isn't specifically the launcher that comes with the Nasomi install, is not authorized. Do not use it - including other Ashita 2s.

You need to use the version of ashita that came with it, and the list of approved plugins is fairly limited do to game balance and exploit issues.

Ok thats fine, makes sense now, considering there are other private servers.

It's not so much agaginst being against other private servers, but rather against exploiters. There's a lot of of people that would break the rules. and create problems for nas.

is there a way to reinstall plugins that are allowed even though Av2 isn't supported anymore?

Can grab https://na.nasomi.com/software/Ashita.zip which will have all allowed plugins/addons already installed

I'm getting a "Direct Play" message to install. I did it, but the game STILL doesn't load up. Please help...
