is anyone else having issues logging in ? I get to the command and log in my account credentials, it says sending account id. hairpin fixed and then closed but doesn't open up the ffxi launcher for character selection. Whats going on ? I know the servers shut down 8/29 and had to be fixed 8/30 in the morning around 7:30am PST. But its now 10:34 pm PST. What could it be ? |

Quote: <Nabutso> the server is up but many people are having login issues, probably because of some ISP and DNS stuff <Nabutso> logging in from a 2nd PC seems to somehow resolve the issue <Nabutso> if anyone has another fix, that would be most welcome EDIT FIX discovered: this impacts older clients only. If you cannot install the nasomi client right now, simple add this to your "Command" box in ashita: --hairpin Your "Command" box will then look like: ![]() |

Quote: <Nabutso> you could try setting up DNAT on your router to send all packets to/from nasomi.com to IP 100.34.1.185 <Nabutso> if you do, let me know if it works <Bovice> IM CONSIDER SOLUTION * Magifyre has quit (Quit: I'll be back...) <Nabutso> using --server 100.34.1.185 in ashita doesnt solve it, so there must be some other place where it's grabbing nasomi.com and giving you the wrong IP <Nabutso> very strange <Nabutso> but one person had success using dnat <Bovice> I SEE I FIGURE ISSUE WOULD BE IP RELATED <Bovice> IM CHANGE DNS SERVER AND STILL NOT WORK <Bovice> SO I WILL CONSIDER THIS SOLUTION EDIT FIX discovered: this impacts older clients only. If you cannot install the nasomi client right now, simple add this to your "Command" box in ashita: --hairpin Your "Command" box will then look like: ![]() |

This does not fix the issue (stuck at black screen "Downloading") since 2 days. This is PC related for sure, since another PC on the same network, behind the same firewall, etc, is working just fine. Connecting on this other PC and shutting down the game cleanly does NOT unstuck logging from first one. (char = Tokenb) Thanks |

Try using the nasomi installer. Very old versions may have problems. |

Nope, reinstalled the game entirely and I am still stuck. You can see my Tokenb char connected 24/7 and DCing... I can no longer log on it from other computers (this was working 2 days ago). So it really seems that my session is in trouble server side. Not sure why this server does not timeout like others...? Does it mean I have to wait until the server is completely reset to log back on? -Tokenr |

Clear session to DC? Also, there -is- a timeout for players who's connection breaks. |
