Step 11: Open the "Visual C++ Runtimes" folder and install ALL 4 files in the folder. ***If it says "Repair", you already have that one and can move on to the next.*** Stuck on this part, i was able to create my character, but im assuming i cant play because i don't understand this step right here. |

If you can't create your character, it's due to one of two issues, neither of which have anything to do with the runtime's. First, the name is taken. It will provide an error in japanese. Second, you didn't copy hte data folder from the POL directory to the FFXi directory. I forget the error this generates. Check those, though.
