Post subject: | New players -- would my brother need an IP exemption? |
Good day, Nasomi folks. My buddy managed to talk a small group of us totally new players to join the server and we're looking forward to learning the game. I appreciate how helpful everyone is on here, and while it's a lot to take in we are getting used to the UI and managed to get level 10 in a few hours. My brother might hop on the bandwagon, but we play on a network over a router. Would it be necessary to get an IP exemption to avoid violating the rules? Thank you guys, any help and direction is appreciated, my bad if this post is in the wrong spot. |

Quote: Would it be necessary to get an IP exemption to avoid violating the rules? No, as there are no restrictions on how many people can play per IP. Only on how many forum accounts someone can have (1), how many game accounts that person can make on their 1 forum account (3), and how those accounts are used. Additionally, check the HELMF rule: only one CHARACTER can be doing HELMF at a time per IP. HELMF is harvesting, excavating, logging, mining, and fishing - this applies regardless of how many people play from your IP. |

My brother just recently moved in a couple days ago, we've both had existing accounts for about 3-4 months each on seperate PCs, never the same one. Just today for the first time, I went to log into my mule, and it showed my brothers alt in the character selection screen. I didnt log into it, and Im actually not sure if he got kicked off, but I find it incredibly odd that a PC that has NEVER had his login info, nor did I log in as that account (as I could tell by the DOS intro screen) could log into an account. Is there some kind of network data transfer happening? Do I need to do something about my PCs privacy settings to not have this happen again? |

Happens sometimes when you play on the same IP. |
