At least for me there seems to be a fishing issue. I am trying to start fishing and I have sunk a bunch of money in it. A few K may not seem like a lot but I only have had a little money since I am new to nasomi. All that I have gotten is "Skill too low" or "You cannot fish at this time". I cannot catch even the easiest of fish to skill up. Let me know if this is an issue or if there is a possible fix in the works. |

I'm not sure if this is the case for you, but in a couple zones, it gives the wrong message, such as "cannot fish at this time". even though your'e fishing, or "your rod breaks" even though it doesn't. It can also say "you caught 1 gil" when you actually caught a fish. I told nas about the issue in port windy last week and he fixed it fairly quickly, but if there's one zone like that, there's bound to be others. The fish do not line up exactly with retail. Each city zone seems to have a different preferred rod/rig that is the most beneficial based on what you'll catch. For example, sabiki rig in norg and windy woods. In selbina, I've found good results with insect paste, sabiki rig, fly lure, and minnow all work extremely well at level 0. If you can't afford a high end rod, such as a composite, I recommend going with a disposable bait, such as insect paste. If you catch something heavy, it'll break your rod, so you want to cancel if you have a light rod. Canceling means cutting your line, and you lose your bait. Not a big deal if it's 1/99 insect paste for 1-2k, but if it's a 4k lure, that gets annoying after loosing them a few times. I've lost probably 20+ lures so far either due to broken rods or canceling by accident or by clicking catch before the fish is all the way in. |

I got "skill too low" too starting out trying to catch crayfish (7). I then moved to Selbina catching Cobalt Jellies (5) and was able to pull em out without problem. Using clothpole(horrible bite rate) and little worm. I have like 10+ Yew/Bamboo from Goblin fishers. Now my skill is 4 I think I'll try crayfish, and possible moat carp, again. |
