Post subject:  Quirk or tiny bug in Windurst mission 2-2, A Testing in Time

The mission sequence is this : talk to gate guard, accept mission, talk to Moreno-Toeno, receive "Creature Counter" magic doll, go to Tahrongi Canyon, kill more than 30 mobs (but less than 90, according to ffxicyclopedia) within one game day, report to Moreno-Toeno at the end of that one day.

I accepted the mission from the guard and did a trial run in Tahrongi Canyon. No problem. I stayed there and farmed a little, so I Killed in total about 100 mobs.

Took a break, came back an hour or two later, got the doll from Moreno-Toeno, went and killed 41 mobs, warped back to Windurst and failed the mission because Moreno-Toeno figured I had killed too many (147, IIRC). He wanted me to try again in Buburimu, but I just gave crystals to a W.W. and skipped the mission.

It seems the game starts counting mob kills from the time the mission is accepted from the gate guard, rather than from the time the "Creature Counter" doll is received.

It's not much of a problem. I just thought it was worth mentionning. Also, it might be the same in retail and have nothing to do with the nasomi servers.
