Post subject:  Character stuck after fishing
I just tried to start leveling up fishing, and whenever I managed to complete the fishing mini-game my character would freeze and I could no longer move or fish.

I was able to unfreeze myself the first time by closing and re-opening the game client, but upon catching a second fish the problem happened again.

Am I doing something wrong? Don't want to have to re-open the game for every single fish.

Wait a moment if you cancel fishing before starting again.

This will be fixed in a future update.

I'm having this same issue, but regardless of what I do after cancelling a cast, or allowing the fish to "tire" it will always lock the character the next time you try and fish. I have just waited 3 minutes between casts, and changed the bait and it still locks me out. Not ideal for low level fishing where you need to try and avoid the heavier fish :(

don't allow a fish to tire you out either. It'll get fixed.

I'm experiencing this issue as well. Is there a fix for this yet?

Nope. Here are some things I found to avoid:

1) Don't cancel an item or a fish. Monsters are OK to cancel.
2) Don't let a fish or item time out. Monster are OK to time out.
3) Don't fish without bait on the hook. If you do, wait a few minutes/run around before fishing again. Should help.

Another trick that seems to work sometimes is if you are frozen, engage a monster that is nearby and then disengage, this breaks it if you are able to do it.

Im having the same problem. Hope this gets fixed. I wont be able to fish until its fixed. I've tried everything.

Same here. This is still an issue. My character can't move or fish if I lose a catch. I can't even log out :(
