Hi, New player here, I've been trying to create a character but no matter what I seem to put in I get the 3322 error. I've tried a wide variety of names, some only around 6 characters long (In this case I tried Toroto). Does anyone know what might cause this error repeatedly? Thanks |

Are you backing out completely? Unfortunately, you have to relaunch or you will keep getting the error message even if the name is valid. From the Troubleshooting guide, under Error Codes: http://nasomi.com/wiki/index.php?title= ... rror_Codes Quote: FFXI-3322 (in Japanese)
The name you're using is invalid. It's probably just too long. Use a shorter name, with a maximum of 13 letters. You must relaunch the game if you get stuck on this error. ANY subsequent attempts to use ANY name will get stuck at this point until you re-launch the game. |

Thanks for the reply, yeah I've been backing out completely, closing ffxi and the launcher. Still no luck. Any ideas what else might contribute? Thanks again |

Have you considered trying something outlanding and doing it quick to see if this helps? You can delete the char later without trouble. So consider something like "lsdfjdlg" and see if it will let you create it with all the defaults. We can go from there. |

Thanks for the replies. I ended up reinstalling (Y'know, just in case), and it's worked fine. Character has now been created and I'm starting. Hope to see you all once I've gotten to grips with it again. Thanks again |
