On your end, May want to run windows diagnostic on your network device, sounds like something is jumbling up your ports, if you have access to a router or hotspot may want to go a step further and check that the NAT type is open, that could be interferring also, but I would start by going into network settings right clicking your active coonection and troubleshoot this connection. Another possibility is network drivers could need updated.

On the client side, if you been here 4 years you could be using the old .iso install process, which is a bit outdated. If you're using the original installation of the client program, may need to download the v.20 installer, remove programs and wipe the original ffxi off your machine, and clean install with the v.20 installer (note: be sure to go into your ffxi/user directory and copy all of the files and folders there, then paste them back in once your done, otherwise you'll be rewriting 4 years of macroes like me.... Not fun)

Other than those things, I can't really think of any other problems that wouldn't be on your ISPs side.... Hope it's not that deep tho o.0

once again nothing was an issue until NAS moved to DDOS / new launcher. New installer downloaded and fresh start. removed all original stuff. and yeah, i have a copy of my USER folder :) getting a new modem/router tomorrow. I still find it odd it all just started. and on another POST Nab has said they're aware of R0 issues now and waiting for an update from NAS.

i might have resolved it by disabling the ipv4 and ipv6 firewall settings on my router. not the most ideal situation. Nab/Nas what exceptions / ports/ etc. are needed to run w/ the new network setup so i can re-enable?

With how things have been lately it may be a while. But I won't let nas forget it in the next launcher/installer version.

I've told you already that the cause is known and it's not something you can fix. Only nasomi. Your ISP can't do anything either.

Stop wasting your time on wild goose chases. There is a solution. Wait for nasomi.

BUMP... this is still quite the headache. I'm seeing other people post about it as well. It was fine before the DDOS prevention was put in place.
