I'm on the quest "Sharpening the Sword". I spoke with Ailbeche and his father and traded the fishing rod. Then spoke to him again and he asked for a whetstone. I'm now in Ordelle Caves at the Stalagmite as a PLD, but when I click on it I get the message "There is nothing out of the ordinary here." I checked my quests and it says I'm on the quest. I tried logging out and back in, but the NM still won't pop. Suggestions? Note: It also says that I'm on the quest "A boy's dream" which is supposed to be the next quest in the sequence. Maybe this is what's preventing me from popping it? |

Talk to Sobane in (D-6) of Southern San d'Oria. Be sure to talk to her twice if you get a cutscene the first time. The cutscene is the beginning of either the quest Signed in Blood or Tea with a Tonberry? and not part of this quest. That's what I was missing.
