Hello all,

My brother and I (Wand) just got on today and saw all our accounts were banned!
(*´ I `)ﾉﾟ(ﾉД｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡
Even our alts and mules were banned :shock:

We live in the same household, in different rooms, on different PCs.

We were trying to think of possible reasons and after contacting our ISP, discovered that in our country, Cambodia, they can only provide ONE PUBLIC IP per household!

We have been playing 2 diff characters each (like everyone) and have had them both on at the same time too, so 4 chars at once on ONE PUBLIC IP! :cry:
Sometimes we'd do HELM together also.

With mules, we've made a total of 6 diff chars on ONE IP! orz...

But I can assure you that we didn't know about this whole ISP thing.

I've contacted Nasomi on Naschat and are waiting for further updates.

-Are there any other ways to help get this fixed?
-Do we even have any chance of recovery?
-Are there things we can help provide to Nas in chat to help clear this up?
-I sent a link of our ISP package which our IP address is registered under.

If we can't recover from this, I personally, just want to say, it has been an amazing run!

The game was relatively the same as retail and was a decent time killer, BUT the community made this game/server, absolutely TOP-NOTCH! ❤ (ɔˆз(ˆ⌣ˆc)

I ’m not sure about any of the ISP stuff, but the rule is one HELM per household. So if you both did HELM then you violated the rule.

I think it was more the IP issue, since I know a friend who unknowingly HELMed on two accounts in one household for a significant period of time and never had an issue doing it, because they still had separate IPs.

1 *public* IP per household/residence is standard here (U.S.) and other places too. Multiple public IP's would be an extra service you would pay for. When I log into my main and alt accounts on two pc's in my house, Nasomi's server only sees one public IP address, because I only have one. The two computers running FFXI in my house each have distinct *private* IP's, sitting behind a NAT firewall. This is all standard with regards to home networking using off-the-shelf routers.

I don't know what criteria Nasomi uses to track this stuff, but it is likely all automated. Hard to say why you got banned, but it wasn't because of the single public IP. Could just be a false positive. Only Nasomi knows.

As others have suggested, keep in contact with Nasomi and keep the IRC PM window open. With patience he should get back to you!

Banned as like how? In mordion?
If your chars just disappeared that doesn't mean your banned, your chars could of been glitched. That's been happening. Either way nas has to help in both cases.

I think I didn't read the rules properly or understood the rules properly when I was playing. I didn't know the whole HELM issue within the same household. Heck, I didn't even know what HELM was for the longest time lol.
I was just told in LS chat that you can't mine with your alt at the same time; I assume it was mechanically locked. But I didn't attempt anyways.

I think the issue was my brother and I did HELM together and flagged all our accounts. :(

Just a bit sad that we loss all the progress and investment to mining in Ifrit's Cldrn

So you cant have 1 character that fishes and 1 that mines? Or is it you cant have them both mining in the same area?
