OP was asking if there is some way around that because I imagine it takes a long time to experiment with name variations in between game-reboots. Checking the AH for the character name is a good idea, but not perfect. It won't catch characters who have never sold anything on the AH (e.g., my mule), so it can't guarantee a name is available. Still, better than not doing it. We used to have a name checker at some point last year. We can't have nice things. |

Good to know. |
