hello each time i enter a macro or change the config when i exit out of the game and come back in everything is cleared or revert back to its original setting i tried log out, shutting down, running as admin still no avail

Depending on where you installed the game, it sounds like the OS or maybe your virus scanner is preventing the saves to actually apply to the ..\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER folders. You mentioned you are using the r-click run as admin so here's some ideas for what to try next.

- Temp disable any virus scanners and do a quick 1 macro change. Then properly log out of the game to the desktop, then log back in.
- If you crash the client or x out of the window it won't save the changes upon exit, that much I have experienced for sure on retail and here.
- Also if you have 2 clients open (2-box) try doing your macros with only one client open.
