Look for a Mog House pearl -- it is a server wide pearl that everyone has. A day with that linkshell equipped you might want a less social LS

We're currently helping LS members complete ZM, and CoP. Everyone is super friendly, and there is always someone online who can help or guide you to the right path. HIXC is great for coming up with some extra social events like Secret Santa, and a naked lvl1 race to Jeuno. The goal of ForgottenSouls to build a group with a strong bond ready to tackle anything FFXI, and Nasomi throw at us. One day we will be tackling Sky, Sea, Dynamis, HNM, ect, but for now we're focused on building up new members.

This might seem unrelated but I stumbled upon this feeling nostalgic. I read the rules of joining this server but they state that you basically can't mix real life vs game life. How true is this? I ask because it seems that socializing is accepted by reading this thread.

I could be way off but I took that to mean avoid those good old vanadiel love dramas that always seemed to ruin something (friendships or linkshells). Socializing is fair game from what I've seen. Toxic romance can make someone quit and I'm sure Nasomi wants to keep every active player on here as best he can.

I take the game/real life section of the rules as more of a liability clause for Nasomi than anything else. Kids play this game too after all and he would be smart to discourage personal socialisation between kids and adults in cyberspace.

Awesome!! I have a wife and kids at this point. I would only be playing for fun and friendships. Looks like I might give this a try.
