Hey y'all!

I've been playing FFXI on and off (mostly on) for the last 16 years and, like many of you, tired of the content that, in my opinion, essentially broke the game. An old friend of mine recommended this server, and I jumped at the chance to return to the glory days of Vana'diel.

I'm looking for an active, friendly, and fun LS that enjoys to party, run events, and just shoot the breeze. It will be a bit before I'm endgame-ready, but I'm looking forward to that in the future, though it's certainly not a requirement. In the meantime I'd really like to find a new family here on this server to talk to and have some fun with. As I just began yesterday I may need some help starting out, but I've always found helping others to be very rewarding and look forward to being able to return to mentor status in the future. I'm always happy to lend a hand to anyone in need.

I was Lastarael on Ifrit/Odin and mained BLU, DNC (R.I.P.), BLM, DRG, WAR... well, you get the picture. I plan on leveling BLM and, once I reach AU, I'll return to BLU, my true love. I'm also happy to level anything needed by the LS, except maybe WHM. (Trust me, you do not want me as your main heal.)

I'd like the friend who referred me to this server, Otaria, to be able to join as well. He's an exceptional player and would be an asset to any LS.

My apologies for writing a book here, but I thought it might be helpful for y'all to know what I'm hoping to find in a LS, and what I can bring to the table.

I cannot exactly recall where, but I do feel we've had the opportunity to meet before on Ifrit. Perhaps the names Tobari and Sinclaire ring a bell? Well, I suppose that is besides the point of why you're posting here.

I am an officer in the shell VaeVictis. We're a prominent progression and social LS which focuses on pretty much anything with the exception of competitive endgame events. We currently are home to players of all levels of experience - first time players to advanced veterans, who also understand that everyone starts somewhere. I think you'd both be a great addition as their are plenty of members looking for some friends and a shot at some adventure!

Sinclair, thanks so much for your reply! I think I might have seen you around somewhere on Ifrit, too. VaeVictis sounds wonderful! I should be on Arael tonight (Wednesday). Are there officers’ names that I can look for when I log on? I’ll be leveling around Sandy, I’m sure, and will keep an eye out for a black pearl. (Also, yay for the pearl being a color I like!) Anyways, I’ll catch you in game!

I would also be interested in joining. I started about a month ago but am playing very casual. I have limited FFXI experience. Played for a year when game came out in NA but never made it to end game. Think I lvled ninja and ranger to lvl 45ish. On Nasomi, I am RDM lvl 18 and got subjob unlocked.

I have a friend who joined two weeks ago. He is getting into dunes and would definitely appreciate a helpful LS. I'm showing him the basic of the game as he only played for a few months in 2002.
