Greetings!

I'm trying to figure out how to get my PS4 controller with DS4 to work properly for FFXI.
I've read most other threads on this issue. I'm using the setting "Hide DS4 Controller". Which seems to both disable the triggers, and vibration (which I haven't been able to get the config to activate no matter what I try). But lets me properly map the right stick.

However. With every config option I've tried, I can't seem to get the D-pad working. the config program seems to think each direction is mapped to either L2/R2 with hide DS4 off. Or mapped to L1, R1, Share, and Start with Hide DS4 on.

I haven't figured out how to get it to work for the D-pad or vibration at all. Any insight would be appreciated, thank you!

I finally got the D pad to work. In the profile config settings.
Turn "Use Dinput Only" on. Then disable "Hide DS4 Windows" Under settings. Then I went into the pad config, chose default set up. And everything other than vibration worked perfectly.
Now I just need to figure out how to fix Vibration. Cause the feedback in XI is really well done.

how did you get you PS4 controller to work?

I am in the Gamepad configuration window. The closest thing I see to setup is Alternate Setup A (A) but the D-Pad does not work and the camera view is all jacked up. Left is Up, Right is Down, Up is left and Right is Down.

this should configure your DS4 controller and enable the bumpers and triggers as well as the touchpad. Keep in min the touchpad will only work outside of XI.
