Is it possible to launch the game for Nasomi using just xiloader? Ashita disrupts the mouse behavior and it bothers the heck out of me. I'd rather play without Ashita loaded if I could (I play vanilla SE Windowed mode FFXI, so the less the bloat, the happier I am).

I have used Xiloader in the past using the instructions in the following link: viewtopic.php?t=2539. Skip most of it and scroll down to where he starts talking about xiloader. You will need to modify the terminal command to something Console understands, like maybe "run xiloader.exe --nasomi.com"

I can confirm that you can lauch using xiloader. I don't know how it works on windows, but yes, it's just as Hammerfist says, you simply run the .exe with some command line arguments. I think theres a way to do that using shortcuts. So you'd make a shortcut to XIloader and then add the command line arguments to it.

I think you need the arg --hairpin for windows. On linux, I just run:

I got to that point, but xiloader quits without launching FFXI after I enter the account login details...

Works properly when launched using Ashita, though. I'm really confused, because Ashita itself is using a customized version of Xiloader to launch the game after it loaded itself...

Try launching using the exe that ashita is running (pol or boot.exe in the ffxi-bootmod folder). Is it the same behavior as using xiloader?

What is the quit like? Does it say sending key... Closing?

It says "Appliying hairpin fix" then "Closing".

FFXI window never starts to pop up. As if it were having trouble finding the FFXI files...

This system is 64bits. PlayOnline and FFXI DLLs are registered correctly (ashita can load FFXI fine). The registry is proper, too.

The odd resolution settings are meant to fix jagged edges on the graphics while the game is in windowed mode. My monitor is 1440x900 so I end with a oddball play field resolution. I switch tasks a lot while playing FFXI (IRC, email, browser, playing music in the background, etc) so I prefer the window with borders in it.

Really weird that it runs fine using ashita but wont when you run the loader directly.

The nasomixi folder should be in the root of the D: drive. Did you move it?
