Hi! I am currently actively looking for a reliable partner for joint work in the field of Game Co-Dev & Porting, and I have encountered the fact that the choice is not always obvious. On the one hand, I want to find a team or specialist who has real experience in transferring projects to different platforms and understands the nuances of optimization for different devices. On the other hand, it is equally important that the partner has a common vision of the project, the ability to work on time and the willingness to adapt to new ideas. Tell me, by what principle did you choose a partner for Co-Dev and Porting: did you focus on the portfolio, reviews, personal recommendations or did you trust live communication more?

In answer to your question, I would like to share my experience. I also spent a long time looking for a suitable partner for joint development and porting of games, and I understand your doubts perfectly. At the start, I had many criteria: real experience in porting, knowledge of different platforms, the ability to adapt to new ideas without losing quality. To be honest, the decisive factor for me was a combination of several factors. I focused on the portfolio, since it immediately shows the level of competence, then carefully studied customer reviews to understand how reliable the team is in long-term work. But the most valuable thing turned out to be live communication: when the team is ready to listen, offer alternative solutions and at the same time respects your vision. In the end, I settled on cooperation with Devoted Studios, and this choice was completely justified - professionalism, flexibility and attention to detail pleasantly surprised me

I completely understand your situation, because I recently went through the process of finding a reliable partner for joint development and porting of games. For me, the key was a comprehensive approach: I did not limit myself to a portfolio only, although experience working with projects on different platforms was critical - this gave me confidence that the specialist really understands the technical nuances of optimization for PC, mobile devices and consoles. At the same time, I actively studied the reviews and recommendations of colleagues who had already collaborated with potential candidates, and this helped to weed out those who looked "nice" on paper, but did not always deliver on their promises. The most valuable thing I learned was live communication: several calls and discussions of ideas showed me how ready the partner was for dialogue, adaptation to new concepts and work on time. As a result, I chose a team where the coincidence of the project vision and professionalism went hand in hand - and I can safely say that this fully met my expectations.
