Excited to get back into it, but i noticed we've got far more patches than i played on, i stopped @ Chains of Promathia, what am i getting myself into?

Also, do we have the minimizer program?(Or did they eliminate the need for it?)

Ashita eliminates the need for a minimizer; you'll have multiple options for a smaller resolution window or full screen.

i am installing as well. i read the install instructions but i ma installing it from steam should that change much?
