Hello everyone.

I played FFXI waaaaaay back when it was first released in the states, I'm thinking it was '05-06 or so. Back then I mained a monk named Loch on Fenrir. I was completely new and started out playing with my sister's LS, but they soon moved on to other things (end-game content, static leveling with a different monk, when I couldn't play - that kind of drama. I farmed and powered my way to ~ 55 as a newbie monk back then. I camped the NM for O.Kote and brought it down a few times (though the Kote never dropped) and worked hard to earn my belt.

More recently I very briefly played here out of nostalgia back in 2013 I think. I didn't stick around long (got lured to another private server with fast xp but wasn't impressed by their community. Wound up quiting when my computer needed to be repaired and the hard drive replaced. I've recently been feeling the nostalgia pulling at me again so I've set everything up to come back.

Timezone wise I have a feeling I'll miss most of you most of the time. I teach in an international school in China so I'm in the asia-pacific timezone. I've been way too busy to justify using my game-time cards on FFXIV while I teach (though I might use one for July-August when summer finally comes though I'll be right back here September as my schedule goes crazy again.

I think I have a character from 2013 still on the server but they were only level 10. I plan to delete them an start fresh as a San'Dorian monk (for the free white belt though I actually plan to main PLD this time around - I've learned I like tanking). I have forgotten almost everything of the game form way-back so you'll be seeing me in /shout asking some really newbie questions. At the same time if you've any low level classes and would like to put together a dunes party I should have gotten my groove back by the time I hit those levels. Mostly I'll be cruising around where I can go soaking in the old zones and the music.
