Racial stats vary pretty widely in ffxi. From taru's huge mp pools to galka's mammoth hp, to mithra's acc that could shoot a fly off a horses ass at 100m to an elvaan who tripped on a rock and missed the ground.

Race doesn't matter. People like to pretend it does, but in reality.. It doesn't. You can deal with any race's shortcomings later.

I'd avoid galka if you want to mage.. taru if you want to tank. It's fine if you like taru and want to tank. Welcome to the server!
