Ahoy!

Veteran newb player jumping on the awesome old school version. I started playing FFXI way back on JP release as Solare, and Leviathan server. (Way back in 2002....). I've been playing a long time. I hate grinding, and questing. I like community and HNM's. I was playing retail up until I changed jobs a few months back, and paying for a game I only really play on Saturday afternoon and night seemed a waste of money. I was our shells main PLD tank. iLVL121 gear and Aegis, was half way through my mythic, Burtgang.

My play times are pretty sad. Usually after 4PM AEST on Saturday, until I go to bed about 10:30 AEST. Maybe a little on Sunday. I do work 6 days a week..

Since you don't need to pay a subscribtion like retail you don't really have any pressure progressing at your own pace. Good Luck!
