Same as the other threads, longtime old player that just can't get into the current ffxi game as it is. So I'm going to give this a try. Though I do have a couple questions (i didn't see the answers in any of my searches so I'm just going to ask! If I did miss the answers then please excuse me!)

Combat related: is this server set up after the 2hand buff was introduced? Remember the old days guys? dual wielding war's and rangers everywhere? What's the current state of the game? This ties into my second question. I played ranger pre nerf. Is it like that now or has it been toned down? I'll probably look into ranger again as it is one of my favorite jobs of all time, but I'm curious.

I would suggest going to nasomi.net (this is an irc chat room that's always up), to see if anyone in there might know.
Alot of people sit AFK in there so just hang around if no-one answers right away.
