I've played Ragnarok Online, I really liked it's grind, that's pretty much it. I liked it's art style and rebirth systems.
I've played WoW, actually I'm taking a break from it right now. I can appreciate that WoW gives a very streamlined experience but, it gets a little boring, and I missed the scenes, places, and experiences I remember so well.
I've played FFXIV, I'm one of the folks of the extremely unpopular opinion that the way the game was when it first came out wasn't as terrible as gets bandied about. Yeah, the game was poorly prepared but the ideas behind its first battle system were sound, just poorly implemented. I still have a few max level characters there though, sad about what happened to some of my favorite jobs...
I've played SWTOR, really, really like the story and characters in that game. Unfortunately, it's kind of a single player game that you play with other people.
I've played tons of other Ragnarok Online clones, WoW clones and the like. Some were fun because they were like their respective "mother games" but nothing really stuck with me.

I admittedly am quite wary of joining a server like this with tons of already established folks because I anticipate it being really hard to break into the economy. I'm a crafter, though I wasn't back in retail because I didn't have any patience for stuff like that. But now, I want to slow down and give it my all! If you see me, drop me a line! I'm looking for a linkshell!
