I'm curious on best place to earn gil as a noob? Where to find my moogle house? I always cast signet too.

I heard to save my crystals.

Does the map not show where my quest are at?.

How to swap jobs on my char, so i don't have to make a new one?

Any other things? Buying low level weapons/armor from auction house more expensive than shops?

I couldn't find a shop to sell claws for my monk : ( !!

Anyone wanna hook me up with some gil? :) <3

My in game acc/pw doesn't work on forums for some reason so if you like, add redrum911 on ff 11

Welcome!

Save your crystals until you have a stack of 12. Then put them on the auction house.

In ffxi maps do not show where quests are, nor do npc's have icons above their head indicating it. You just run around and talk to them.

To change jobs, go into town and type /map, you need to go to the residential area. Inside, there is a moogle that will change your job.

Price of weapons/armor varies between AH and npc's, but for starter gear try bidding 1 gil, chances are you'll get lucky from time to time.

Forum accounts and game accounts are seperate. You have to make a forum account, then create up to 3 game accounts under that forum account.

MNK weapons sell from many vendors, it would help to know your char name and starting nation to help you out.

Arlenne in Northern San d'Oria (E-4) sells you your Cesti ~155gil

A couple of things, it sounds like you picked MNK. Fun choice! So GJ getting signet, remember you can sort your inventory. So when you more than one thing it can normally stack up to 12 in your inventory (Some are different)

Dark Crystals will most likely sell the most, so since you are in Sandy, once you can start killing Funguars those are great. You can access your Mog House Inventory anywhere in town. That includes the 80 slots from CASE and Satchel/Sack 30s to start. Fill those suckers up with stuff!

The Egg event is going on and since your name is REDrumggz, you will need letters "R" "E" and "D", turn those in the event mog for a pretty decent ammo item that gives +1% total HP and +1VIT. Really nice for a slot that doesn't get used often.

Ask questions, and focus on killing Easy Prey and Decent Challenged mobs, it will make your life easier and you will level quicker.

It's generally a bad idea to ask for free gil.

From 1 to 10, you should hang around West and East Ronfaure. When you reach 10 or higher you can go to King Ranperre's Tomb and kill things a little stronger. The quest that gives you a good amount of gil from San'd'Oria areas is the quest that has you turning in bat wings 2 at a time for a nice bit of gil. So try to find bats and kill them.

If you need any other help feel free to ask me in game, my name is Zaene!

You really shouldn't be asking for free gil, in game or here. You already have a reputation for begging in game, and that ain't good dude. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but warn you that what you have been doing is pretty frowned on and you might want to chill with that.

Everyone works pretty hard to earn gil to get by, new and old players. Lots of great advice has been given above! I recommend searching through the forums and reading up on recommendations for making gil, such as this post, which has several recent responses. I haven't been able to level in a couple weeks due to lack of gil (for spells/gear), so I've buckled down and started fishing to earn gil. There are a lot of people fishing to get by right now, and I'm certain that just about any fisherman you run in to would be happy to give you advice on it. There are forum posts on fishing and guides on the wiki, but the best info I've gotten has been from fellow players. The community is very helpful.

Since it sounds like you are pretty lost with some other aspects of the game, I also highly suggest reading the section on "Getting Started." It gives you a great, easy to understand introduction to what you need to know about the basics of the game. There is also a Wiki Page that is updated regularly with helpful information. Definitely give that a browse! It's a great resource. Good luck.

asked for gil on forums once

asked for gil in game for 5 mins

tons of people were dicks to me...also saying i should be kicked from server

lol...idk if i should even play if i can be banned, i dont want to get level 50 and get banned, might just buy ff 11 if i decide i like it enough.

why are old games with people who been playing for a decade such assholes? should of known though, no different than diablo 2...all new players like a little help and it makes it fun to be able to pimp out your char to go own in pvm...

i've always hooked new players in games, cause i know how much more fun it is for them.

i don't need any lessons on day one on oh you need to learn to earn your own gil! i just want to have some fun for first few days then decide if i want to play serious...obviously if i don't like it, then a member gets lost...

i know it's nothing when you got 1k people playing, but if this server had 200 people i bet the attitudes would be way different.

anyways, you post a nice little comment but if you were one of the guy in the link shell talking shit, then your post doesn't match how you were actually acting toward me...over 1k gil lol....

Dicks? No, people are offering you advice but you choose to ignore it then you proceed to call them "nerds".

I've been playing on this server for about a month and everyone has been lovely so don't think for a moment that people aren't generous and kind on here.
