How you found us? I saw a few youtube videos pop up by Huntin 4 Games about the current state of FFXI in 2018. I think I heard him briefly mention in one of his videos that large private servers for FFXI still existed, so I did some poking around and came across Nasomi.
Other MMO's? I played WoW up until this year, and I tried out FFXIV a little bit
Anything else?: I guess the major thing I'm still not entirely sure of is exactly what state the game is currently in. I've been looking through the site/wiki and have been trying to gather as much information as possible. One thing that comes to mind is: are prized drops from NM's (Bounding Boots, Emperor Hairpin, Peacock Charm, etc.) the rare/ex versions or the rare only versions?

I really look forward to getting started and playing again. ^_^

The Rare/Ex versions of those drops come from BCNMs. The non-R/E versions come from NMs.
