Hello, my name is Meshuggah ingame, and I'm so excited to be playing FFXI again.

I played retail in 2009 I believe (right after Wings of the Goddess) and ended up maining a WHM to level 90. I played until Abyssea came out and wasn't a fan of the expansion so quit. I tried to play again in 2015 after the Adoulin expansion but couldn't get into the changes to the game, namely the huge amount of solo-done content now. So after taking a couple years to play some EQ, I've decided to give my first and favorite MMO another try!

Not entirely sure what I'll be trying out, I love the idea of playing an COR but not sure how viable they were in this time era. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Welcome! Don't main a COR from the start. Not only are bullets expensive, but you can't fight Maat on a COR/BLU/PUP for the last limit break.
