Hi everybody!

My love story with FFXI is actually a sad one, I got the game when it first came out and I was really young (around 13years old I think). Not knowing that this online game needed a monthly sub, I had to beg my parents so they can at least activate my account using their credit card in order to get the 30 days trial. At that time, I’ve already played FF IX and FF X, as a young FF fan, having the opportunity to experience a little bit of the very beginning of FF XI was truly an honour. I still remember playing RDM and killing lizards, wandering around the HUGE world. So it just lasted 1 month.

Then I moved on, my next “MMO” was Guild Wars 1 which I played for a while as it didn’t need a monthly sub, it was the perfect game for a hobo teenager like me back then.

Fast forward to today, jumping from one game to another, having tried every existing F2P, B2P sub/without sub...Even FF XIV, no matter how hard I tried (played for 1 year when ARR came out), it didn’t feel right, it has its qualities obviously, as a FF fan, the graphics, the franchise’s iconic jobs etc...kept me going. But at the end, it felt really similar to the other games in the market...
Until, a month ago, while cleaning my old stuff that my parents kept in cardboard boxes, I saw the original Final fantasy XI CDs...followed by flashbacks, then decided this is it! I have to finish what I left 15 years ago!! (Mmmh maybe I should make this post shorter huh lol) Ends up playing on retail, things went from excitement to disappointment to why they made it so easy to level up? That’s not what I’m looking for in an MMO! Alright, then I somehow read about the nasomi server on google (wasn’t even trying to find a private sever, you guys are getting popular!).

Here I am, with my Lv. 6 WAR, ready to conquer Vana’diel again.
Really satisfied with the server so far, can’t wait to make friends in game.

TL;DR: Played FFXI 30 days trial 15 years ago too young can’t sub, found the FFXI CDs in cardboard 1 month ago, decided to play on retail, disappointed they broke their game, here I am now on nasomi.
