Other MMO's? FFXIV (Gavin Draether on Faerie). I had hoped FFXIV would fill in the hole of my gaming soul that FFXI left behind, but alas, as others had said it really was WoW gameplay with a paint job (and a kick-ass story!). Those coils of Bahamut were pretty awesome, but man I haven't been able to play since the end game raiding tanked!
So I have started off in Windhurst! Hoping to find a good social linkshell! I can't wait to re-experience the joy(?) of actually needing other players to progress a game! Its seriously the best way to make lasting online friendships!

Welcome!!! I was on Asura too! Fairy and Lakshmi before that. I started 2 days ago after uncovering this little gem on reddit.
I can relate to the XIV bit. I was on it since 1.0 and still have an active sub to this day on Hyperion but it's definitely not as immersive as XI. I have Monk and Sam to ilv 340 but sometimes i feel like i'm just grinding daily roulettes for the hell of it man.
