Hi everyone! My name is Mynk, and I'm so happy Ive discovered the Nasomi server! I first played FFXI in 2003, back when I was only 13 years old! I was chronically ill growing up and my mom had gotten me the game as something to keep my mind off my health, what we thought would be an easy start turned to frustration quickly, with the PlayOnline launcher being much more complicated a program than my 13 year old mind could wrap itself around, and being new to subscription games. Not to mention my GPU at the time didnt have a shader so we ended up having to order a better card on ebay. Though those first few steps may have been frustrating at the time, I look back at them fondly now. About 3 years ago I tried going back to FFXI but so much had changed, I leveled up way too quick, and it was all soloable. My BRD felt useless, whereas before she had always been an integral part to any party she joined, now parties were few and far between, so I stopped playing retail and said "at least I'll have the memories!". Imagine my surprise upon watching Ninja stream one day, and hes playing FFXI, but wait, thats the FFXI I remember playing when I was 13-15, not the way it was last time I played! I did a bit of searching and found he was playing on a private server, Nasomi! So Im back, and hopefully I'll get to play with some of you soon!
