Ignore the AH history for anything that had charges. Enchantment items cannot be listed on AH anymore. There was a period of time when some could be listed, and people were exploiting the AH.
As for the "Crystal saving" crafts, I know that Trituration in alchemy is useful for MOST crafts that use it, because it can double or triple your HQ's if you HQ something.
Echo drops recipe for example: Crystal, Water, Honey, Sage. Yield: NQ=1 HQ1 = 2 HQ2 = 3 HQ3 = 4
Trituration Echo drops recipe: Crystal, water x1, honey x3, sage x3, triturator x1. Yield: NQ = 3 HQ1 = 6 HQ2 = 9 HQ3 = 12
Not only are you saving a crapload of time to burn through your materials (one third, meaning you can get triple the number of "crafts" done in a new-moon darkday), for every HQ you get, you "triple" the number of times you HQ'd.
I'm sure some mathematician could put together some chart to show at what point you get diminishing returns on a recipe like this, but for me, the time savings is worth the GP and the triturators.
