Fresh 75 PLD, unsure what to use merit points on first. Does Chivalry work on Nasomi? Because then probably Chivalry right?

Chivalry works

Fealty does not

Sword/Shield/Evasion/Parry skill are handy, Healing Magic skill helps a bit. I'm working on shield 1st myself seems to be what I'm going to get the biggest initial help from.

Sword and shield are both quality choices. I would cap those two before much else, but getting a point or two in enmity if that's your thing isn't a bad choice either. HP's nice but shouldn't be a priority past the first couple merits unless you've got a consistent, high volume source of merit points. Chivalry's good, worth the points, but the long cooldown limits its utility outside of a few HNMs and sky fights (Kirin, specifically). Sentinel cooldown's also pretty nice, but takes a large point investment to get to the point where you notice a difference. Divine's not worth meriting until you're fighting HNMs and have nothing else to merit. Same story for healing magic skill, each skill only adds roughly 1-2 HP onto Cure 4 so I'm not sure it's even worth the investment.

tldr
Sword, parry, and shield are good. Enmity's good. Spell interrupt's situationally good if you can supplement it with 5/5 iron will (if it even works, I haven't tested) and knightly earring/valor legs. HP's good til it gets expensive.

I am not a 75 PLD but I agree with Entry. Weapons always a first for melee type jobs. Shield for sure.

In addition, I recommend STR last since it's a pain to max out and it's better to keep this for last in my opinion (and other 75's opinion too).

Grats on 75 man!
