Hey guys, fairly new person to server. Played game years ago, but its been long enough to have forgotten so much. I am starting to lvl the Smn job and have it to 20 and really really really want to get ahold of the Carbuncle Mitts. They drop from an NM in the Uggalepih Temple in the jungle. My highest level job currently is a 36 blm. I remember that I am no where near the level I need to be to get thru the temple and do the fight. The NM is Crimson-Toothed Pawberry.

Does anyone know what type of party will need to be gotten together to get this? I have met a couple players that are higher levels that have offered to help me with whatever. But I want to know what is needed to get the fight won and not waste their time if they are available.

Been great playing again so far, excellent server and population.

I'd be happy to go kill it for ya as long as youve collected your uggalepih offering to pop it. Just searched for ya in game but not seeing you. Don't know if your game name is the same but message me at Aeroo.

Most times I've had to get the offering, its been up waiting for me. Its not exactly on the way to the NM, but if you didn't happen to get it before you got someone to help you, it would probably be quicker and safer to let whoever is helping you get the offering to pop pawberry.

The prelate key can be found off the tonberry stabbers on the way to the uggalepih offering... but I'd just stick to the choppers in any of the two outside (Yhoator Jungle) transition areas of the temple. They are easier and respawn quicker with just about the same drop rate. Just a thought.

Yeah the Uggalepih offering is easy to get as long as you have sneak/invis and typically people don't mind helping to kill that NM. The big time sink is getting the prelate key if someone doesn't already have because it could take awhile to drop. Carby mitts are still best with Carby out bar none. If you need help killing I can help too if I'm online.

Thanks for all the help guys. I will get on tonight and be sure and get the offering first. May send a tell to someone who offered and if they are not busy would love to get the help and get those mitts. Going from 3 perp to 1 is a huge help with smn.

Honestly with the small number of pops for stabbers and choppers, I just farm the key from slashers in Den of Rancor because there are like a dozen spawns. They're higher level than the others, so on retail the drop rate would be higher. I'm not sure if that holds true on Nas because the drop rate is still abysmal.

The key is by far the worst part, the NM itself is a joke. I did this twice with 75MNK 75WAR 72RDM yesterday, and the NM was dead within a minute each time.

Just wanted to give a thanks to Aeroo who was awesome enough to come out and help me get the mitts. Was able to get the offering first and one of his friends already had a key, was just me hiding from bad stuff as they kicked butt. Got those mitts!
