This might seem a weird question and i am not complaining about it but i am curious as to why leaping boots,emp pin, PCC ,Ebow etc etc are so cheap.

Is it because a low pop server or is the pop times and drop rates different values?

Can someone explain this please?

In retail, the economy was massively created by botting, gil farmers, gil sellers, RMT, etc. Gil was nearly worthless. Here, however, and especially with the gilpoloclypse in recent months, nas is trying to keep inflation to a minimum so that gil actually has value.

But pop rates/frequency and drop rates are the same as they were in retail.

NMs still have the same spawn timers as retail, but with a population like 1/10th the size of it at its peak. So the good drops from the lower level NMs have the same supply but a lower demand.

(@bolded) Treasure Hunter, from what I have heard and seen, is more effective on Nasomi, so this isn't exactly correct.

The gil cut that happened months ago is a big part of it, but low demand is as well, and to a lesser degree, technically improved drop rates over retail (with TH).

Another issue though is zone crashes and bugs, Argus in particular was hit extremely hard. A bug would occur where Argus would respawn seconds after it was killed for hours until Nasomi was around. This destroyed the demand for PCC.

Crashes are unfortunately a considerable issue as there are people who know how to abuse it, they generate a lot of, otherwise valuable low sourced materials, into the server.

basically what Insight said.

TH (even just TH1) seems to be very effective compared to retail. (wish i knew sooner).

Argus has a shorter pop rate.

There has been a huge influx of players the last few month (Retail ffxi ending console play, Era server players switching to Nasomi, etc)
Which seems to be stabilizing prices at their low points.

Also, because of low pop, its easier to camp/claim NMs which means more people will hunt instead of buy.
