Hello Everyone,

I was looking through the forums and didn't find much information with respect to fomor hate and wanted to post my findings here for everyone. The information below is from many, many swift belt runs in an attempt to get everyone in my small group their belts and i hope everyone finds it useful! As always if there's anything more to add please feel free to comment but there is some changes i wanted to make sure everyone knew that are Nasomi specific.

-----------
Fomor Hate
-----------

1) The fomor hate count required on Nasomi is not the same as retail. The real count is somewhere between 20-25. If you find yourself short after this count then simply kill a couple fomors in Sacrarium and you should be fine.

2) The best location to farm fomor hate is by the shed in Misareaux Coast (E-7). The fomors all read too weak to a level 65 character, about 10~ of them, and have a 5 minute respawn timer. You will need a little over two cycles worth at this camp to cap fomor hate. Our group only did two rotations once and was required to kill 5~ fomors in Sacrarium to cap hate.

3) The ability to accumulate fomor hate is not subject to the EXP radius. We had someone sit outside tav safehold to test this. This is very important for anyone that shows up late to farming fomor hate while still being able to cram some kills in before night ends.

I believe that about covers it! Overall farming fomor hate is the least of the troubles for any particular group and should simply be a short activity before entering Sacrarium. Please remember that swift belt is subject to treasure hunter and the Thief 'Hide' ability will depop fomors and hectus eyes.

Good Luck!

Keep in mind even if you're capped on fomor hate when you enter Sacrarium. If you get aggro from one or multiple of the minotaurs on the way to Swift belt spawn locations and need to kill them, you will likely have to build fomor hate again. Which is much more dangerous to do in Sacrarium as you probably know. Probably less time intensive to just let said person who got aggro die and wait for weakness to wear/let the minotaur despawn, so no hate is lost.

Think it's possible to low man a few belts ? Low as in six?

Fomors felt way stronger in there than I remember. Was thinking THF and a few smns and a Cor to kill a few swift belts. I've never done it here so I'm looking for the opinion of someone who has

Don't underestimate ninja in there. But yeah I'd imagine with the current version of smn it should be very doable

I was going to say that^^;

A NIN with good gear in there can be a huge help.

I've done Elvaan and Hume with a very small amount of people before. We had about 4 or 5 people, one was dual boxing Nin and Rdm, another Rdm, Thf, Cor and my memory is fuzzy on the last job but I think it was Smn.

Most groups will already have a Thf in them for TH alone, but they offer far more utility for this fight simply because they can clear entire rooms + hallways of Fomors and the Minotaurs at the intersections using Flee and Hide. ****For those not familiar with Hide's mechanics, you need to make sure the aggro'd mobs are far enough away from their spawn areas before using Hide, or they will NOT depop****

Simply start in the back of whatever room you're looking to pop the swift belt NM in, drop sneak and pop flee(bring your af boots if you have them, as they do work in level capped zones), make sure to grab every fomor in the room and as many of the mobs outside of it down the path I marked in green on the map below(even the minotaur if you're able to). Take everything as far from their spawn area as possible to the end of the arrow, and if you did it correctly, it should despawn all mobs on the way back to your room and anything that was inside of it potentially saving your group a ton of time and heartache fighting everything and risking links/death.

Image

The only room I found I couldn't completely despawn sometimes was the Taru(Lobais) room, one of the Blms would occasionally run all the way back to his room for some odd reason despite being way out of the range of it. And with the Hume room(Balor), there's mostly ranged mobs in the hallway outside of it, I think it was a RNG and BRD. For Hume(Balor) you want to run the opposite direction marked in blue on the map and stop in the corner next to the door just shy of the maze entrance wait for the mobs from the room to get into the hallway then pop Hide. This would leave me super low HP sometimes since most of them were ranged mobs, so you'll likely require someone who can heal/sneak you to get back to the room and avoid HP aggro from the nearby skeletons and the Rng/Brd fomors in the hallway. Everything in the room should despawn if done correctly though.

Sounds complicated, but really isn't once you know what you're doing, and it saves you a ton of time provided people listen and it's done correctly.

I did the paint job in like a minute, so sorry if it looks like shit.

Looks good! thanks for posting more information for everyone! The lowest i ever did it was nin, war, rdm bouncing hate with provoke but not advisable. My usual group is whm, brd, war, nin, thf. As stated, a well gearred nin does well and the war as back-up makes it even smoother!

Also

- No fomor hate does not mean no aggro on Nasomi!
- fomor hate decays over time, not hugely but noticeably. You probably can't pop the NM if you haven't messed with fomors recently. It doesn't take a lot of trips to build, but decay can make it seem that way. Popping it does wipe hate.
