Thanks for all the valuable information i been going back rereading all the comments on the other page .
So far I been making very slow progress lately lvl16 now on my WHM duoing with a lvl16 WAR.
I'm abit stuck where to level at the moment I know i suppose to be doing dunes but I'm not ready for that yet i been trying to find other places to level instead of killing goblins and rock lizards at dangruf wadi i felt too strong for them and getting alot of 0xp or 20~40xp which is bad.
My WAR haves the full scale armor set and a greataxe i thought i be in good shape since i been gearing him quite abit I tried killing the goblin butcher but turns out to be too strong for me and my whm/and war got killed and deleveled.
I tried looking everywhere to find where to level at this 15+ level range but only seem dunes is the answer which i know this game must have other ways except that.
I do have a few questions today~
1.
Where to level this lvl16 Duo party at?2.
How to send items to another character that is in another town?3.
Is it possible to change to a different starting city? If so will i lose my fame for that city if i switch over?4.
In order to start fishing and getting skill ups do i need to go to windurst fishing guild?5.
Is it possible to go afk while fishing and still collect items? I been seeing stuff about fishing fatigue i was thinking you have to do some type of minigame in order to get items i havent touched this yet so idk.
Off to tryout crafting should be exciting.
1. Sorry, but Valkurm Dunes is the answer. Technically Buburimu Peninsula is also the same level but since there aren't many Windurstians on Nasomi it's pretty much deserted. For just douing you can try La Theine Plateau, Konschtat Highlands or Tahrongi Canyon but most mobs there will be EP and will give little exp, not enough to level in a reasonable amount of time. You will need to start joining full parties at this point to progress further. Level 16 is actually considered a mid-level for dunes parties and WAR16 / WHM16 are very needed because they are natural tanks / healers respectively. Why do you think you're not good enough for that?
2. Well the real answer would have been the delivery box but unfortunately it's severely bugged on Nasomi, it may not work at all and it unfortunately may permanently screw things up for the sender so really not recommended unless you don't care to delete the character and start over. There is a workaround if the item is not exclusive though, by taking advantage of the fact that all auction houses are linked (i.e. any item put on auction will be available on all houses) - Get both your characters to nearby auction houses, put the item you want to transfer on auction for 1 gil, then immediately go to the second character and bid 1 gil for it. Item transferred. You will need to pay 1 gil for each transfer though.
3. It's possible to change allegiance by speaking to an immigration NPC and paying some gil. You will keep your fame in your old city (you can actually build fame in all cities regarding of your nationality). If you've already acquired fame in the new city then it's not affected either. You will however start over from rank 1 (missions-wise) and you'll have to redo all supply quests. Your status in your old city should be kept though, so if you immigrate back to your old city you should be able to continue from where you left off (haven't tried it myself though). I should also note that you usually don't need to change your nationality for most things - you can set your home point in other cities, do most quests, build fame, join guilds etc. The only things that are restricted to citizens are anything vended by the conquest overseer for conquest points, signet, missions, running supply quests, the ability to change your mog-house layout and a few very specific items from merchants. I've never had a reason to change nationality so far (I'm Bastokan).
4. You can fish up to level 10 without going there. When you hit level 10 you will need to go there and present a moat carp to uncap your level. You will need to repeat this (with a different test item) every 10 levels. You do not need to be a citizen of Windurst to do this (or anything else regarding the fishing guild). It's highly recommended that you get the Sarutabaruta outpost as soon as your nation has control over it for easy access to Windurst. If you don't uncap you can continue fishing but you will not receive any further skill-ups until you do. By level 10 you should be able to catch moat carp (which you can AH) and tricolored carp (which you can vendor). They'll give decent gil for lower levels but as you reach higher levels new gear and spell prices will be significantly higher, therefore you will need to catch better fish.
5. You can't afk when fishing. You will need to re-issue the /fish command each time (better set a macro for that!) to drop the hook (a single fishing cycle will take around 10 seconds). If you catch something you will need to play a small minigame (very easy) after which, if your skill level is high enough, you'll catch the fish. As you can see this is something that requires continuous user input, so no afk. DO NOT be tempted to use fish-bots, YOU WILL be caught and your character may be completely deleted. You have been warned. There's no fishing fatigue on Nasomi since it's out of era (it's actually one of the few things that are easier on Nas than on Retail) - feel free to fish as much as you want.
