I'd use Barblizzara against monsters with pesky Ice Spikes, it is supposed to protect against the associated status effect Paralysis at the same time. That's assuming I don't have a dispeler in the party, because heck spikes are annoying.

Oh, and BLM skeletons and ghosts also cast some form of Blizzaga at times.

My advise, buy all barspells. You NEVER know when you will need them and your party/linkshell says "Hey we need bar----ra" and you don't have it, you will look incompetent. Barspells are essential in most everything you do.

thats good, it didnt make sense to be dark based on retail

I hope you realize that that's the info for the BLU version of the skill which is totally different from the monster version.
