I may be confusing 2016 FFXI with the original version but I seem to remember a feature that could warp you between cities, or maybe it was just to your home city if you went to the consulate. I don't know if it was the result of a quest, rank, level, etc., but I seem to remember this feature. Anyone help me out here?

I don't think we have that. We have outpost warp and the Whitegate warp from mission/quest.

What you're talking about is something in a much later era on retail than Nasomi.

However, Nasomi does have the custom NasCircuit (Repurposed Chocobo Circuit) which you can use to quickly travel to / from any of the 3 starting cities. You have to be level 10 and it costs 500 gil each time you enter it.
